Interested in writing an article on college students involved in KCA
Hello,
I just recently became aware of college chapters of KCA during a tour of NYU earlier this month. I am the director of programs and content for a new education and career focused social network which is called Track Ahead. It is also a Ning platform, and anyone here that is interested in finding out more of what it is all about is welcome to check it out by using their Keep a Child Alive user name/password (which is interchangeable on all Ning sites such as this).
Community service is a major component of Track Ahead, and we're always on the lookout for information on nonprofits that are working with high school and college students. I am interested in writing a story about KCA for Track Ahead, and interviewing college students/advisors to learn more about how you got involved.

I would liek to share my story in how I got involved with KCA. In May of 2008 I went to see Alicia Keys in concert and she talked about Keep a Child Alive. I was so moved that when I got home I went to the KCA website to donate, but saw that they had a college program. I felt that I could not sit aside and watch knowing that these are real people and that they live with AIDS. So I asked some of my friends if they would like to start a Chapter at the University of Central Arkansas (my college) and we did! Doing that has changed my life. I now call myself an AIDS Activist and will be one until I die or until AIDS is cured, whichever one comes first.
