Our goal with the concert is to unite the whole NIU community as well as our sorroundings DeKalb, Chicago, etc. for a cause. We are hoping to get sponsors to put this event together so that all the ticket sales of the concert can go to Keep a Child Alive. We want to bring Common and Lupe Fiasco...even Alicia Keys if possible. I even want to bring the Children of Agape Choir...which is a choir from one of the orphanages we fund. We are thinking about doing it at our convocation center which is like a smaller scale arena type setting that can hold up to 10,000 ppl. We are really trying to do something big!

I definitely understand with the weather...I grew up in San Diego CA and my move to Chicago was not pretty! lol...nonetheless NY wasn't that cold...but as soon as I got back to Chicago I got sick! lol
