At 4:06pm on December 1, 2009, Louise O'Shea said…: Hi Elizabeth - regarding your Bank of America bank account, you cannot set up a bank account for the non-profit itself - you can set up a personal bank account under your Chapters name though. We are a 501 (c) 3, Keep a Child Alive - but that is not paperwork we can give out as it is for our bank. Usually colleges can set up bank accounts through their student governments but if this is not for a college - then the best bet is to open up a regular account for your Chapter.
